The role of murky depths in the theory:

At 14:00 pm on Tuesday the 22/02/1977 I favoured a different theory (there were two competing theories):

Because nature is symmetrical regarding the Positive and the Negative (such as Black and White) the horizontal numbers (real numbers) are + (Plus) and - (Minus) relative to the Positive and the vertical numbers (imaginary numbers) are + (Plus) and - (Minus) relative to the Negative.

Because we have adopted + (Plus) and - (Minus) relative to the Positive it appears horizontal and because we have not adopted + (Plus) and - (Minus) relative to the Negative it appears vertical.

Mathematics relative to the Positive and Mathematics relative to the Negative are independent of one another and this means that mathematically they are perpendicular.

+ (Plus) and - (Minus) relative to the Positive will give Positive when squared, likewise, + (Plus) and - (Minus) relative to the Negative will give Negative when squared.

+ (Plus) and - (Minus) must not be confused with Positive and Negative, they are totally different, + (Plus) and - (Minus) are not symmetrical whereas Positive and Negative are.

For example: addition and subtraction have nothing to do with electrical charge, although they affect it.

I no longer favour this theory but I have included it for completeness.

That concludes the role of murky depths in the theory.
